How to check whether your VPN is working
A useful check starts with a simple question: what public address, location and network does the internet see?
What the check can tell you
- The public IP address presented by your current connection.
- The approximate country and region associated with that address.
- The network owner and available VPN, proxy, Tor or data-centre signals.
Important: a result cannot prove complete anonymity, security or acceptance by a particular streaming or online service.
Run the connection check
The tool opens on Lozavi, an independently hosted service. Straight Up Hub does not embed it or claim that a particular location result guarantees access to another service.
Before comparing results
- Run the check before connecting the VPN and note the visible country and network.
- Connect to the VPN location you intend to use.
- Wait for the connection to settle, then run a fresh check.
- Compare the public location and network—not only the “VPN detected” label.
